Previously had Z type short term

Hello I previously had a short term Z type if I apply for a visa now is it possible to be granted a Normal 1year Z type with the same documents I previously had

The work Z type usually has single and short term, but after your entry to mainland China, you can use your Z type to apply for a Chinese residence permit which has one year or more validity and multiple entries at the local PSB.
