About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Transit in Shenzhen International Airport during the night possible?

My friend has a transit in Shenzen SZX and she was told by the ticket company she has to recheck her luggage there. So she plans to apply for the 144hours visa upon arrival, take the luggage and go to the checkin counters.

However, she is scheduled to land on 23:35 (11:35 pm), will the visa office be open? Her connecting flight leaves before 04:00 am on the next day.

There is no "144 hours visa upon arrival" in Shenzhen. There is only 24 hours transit without visa, and you must be in transit to a third country (NOT Hong Kong or Macao). Immigration will always be open when any international flight arrives.
