About:China Talent Visa

I have a R visa. Is my university employer correct saying that I do not need a work permit?

My university employer also says that if you apply for a work permit, the validity of your R is reduced to the length of your current employment contract. Is this true too.y

It's true that you do not need a work permit under a R type.
