About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am US citizen. I plan to visit China Dec 5 to Dec 10 (5 nights). Can I get the 144 TWOV

My entry flight is from Tokyo to Beijing and I will leave from Shanghai. Is that a problem for the 144 hr twov?

One china landing in each direction of travel. You cannot fly the domestic flight between Shanghai and Beijing on a 144 transit without visa. Also the next stop after Beijing cannot be Japan.
