I'm born August 21st 1989 and I'm going back to school. How will next year go for school and career?

I am worried that because the snake and pig have weak compatibility that 2019 (year of the pig) will be a hard year for me (I'm an Earth snake) to make progress as a student. I am a vet tech student and I'm volunteering at an animal shelter. Would next year be a bad time to switch to a different place to work/volunteer?
