About:Huangshan Mountain

Best place to stay coming for a 1,5 day from beijing (via bullet train)

I'm planning to get there for a couple of days coming with a train from beijing. Since I'm arriving with luggages (leaving as early as possible in the day from beijing) I think I would entirely waste almost first day for reaching an hotel dropping luggages and stuff and It's my first visit in China, so I'm not very skilled when it comes to transportations there (also I'm travelling alone). The second day I'm staying all day and night and then in the third day I will be leaving for Shanghai.

What would be my best options in terms on hotels position and transportations to optimize my time there?
Any possibility to also enjoy the famous sunset or I'm cut out?

Thanks for any help given, I'm literally lost

On the first day, you can take the high speed train from Beijing to Huangshan North railway station. Then take the bus to Tangkou Town, the south gate of Yellow Mountain scenic area.
Then spend one night at the hotel in Tangkou Town.

On the second day, check out the hotel and leave your luggage in the hotel. (Most hotels will help to keep the luggage.) Then take the shuttle bus at Tangkou transfer center to the scenic area. As you arrive at the scenic area, start to climb the mountain and enjoy the scenery. And then see the sunset and live in the hotel on the mountain, such as Beihai Hotel, Baiyun Hotel, Lione Forest Hotel...

On the third day, see the sunrise and go down the mountain. Return to Tangkou and get your luggage back, then leaving for Shanghai.
