About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Interline itineraries

Hello, We are arriving in Beijing from Denmark on Dec. 20 at 13:05 and leaving from Beijing to Sydney on Dec. 21 at 23.45, well within the 72 hour rule.
Now, the itineraries are made by two separate airlines, flying with one airline on one itinerary to Beijing, and another airline on another itinerary to Sydney. Is that a problem?
The same applies, when we return. Again, we will be staying overnight in Beijing, again well within the 72 hour rule.
Thank you in advance.

Separate tickets and different carriers are fine.

Hello Rob;
Final question: We only have the confirmed itinerary for the onward flight to Sydney. The boarding passes can only be obtained 24 hours prior to departure. Is that a problem?

It's not a problem.

You don't need a boarding pass. You must print the confirmed e-tickets showing the ticket number (not just the reservation code), your name and flight details.
