About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

In and out issues?

Seems straight forward but I am Canadian. Travelling to Shanghai - plan to stay for 3-4 days, head to Thailand for 12, then return to Shanghai for 3-4 more days. Does this qualify me for a visa both times as I extend past the six day?

Yes, the 144 hours resets every time you enter China at Shanghai.
