About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Round trip from Hong Kong.

Can I get the 72 hours free transit if I travel Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong ?
I live in Hong Kong but I am from Mexico, and I would not be transiting to a third country, just visiting Shanghai.

You have answered your own question. Its not a transit so you need a visa.
