Can I bring a small Swiss Army Knife on board high speed trains?

Blade is <4cm. I keep it in my emergency first aid kit.

It is not recommended. Even small fruits knife cannot go through the security check. In fact there is no detailed policy posted online, but depends on the security staff there.

Nope, you can't. I had a Swiss Army Knife (6cm blade, collectible item, mint in box!) taken away at Beijing South Railway Station last month. After a 20 min discussion with the security officers I was able to get it mailed to my friend in Shanghai, but I was not allowed to bring it onto the train. They didn't notice the 4cm Swiss Army Knife I had in my bag though, but I would not try that again.
