I plan to attend a Conference in Bejing in december, How do I get a visa and what is the cost?

First, you need to provide your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, and a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets, and hotel booking record or an invitation letter from the conference. Next, submit the application to the Chinese embassy or consulate general. You may need to pay USD140 per person for that.
