About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Any restrictions on country A or C being my home country?

Hello,
As a Spanish resident and passport holder, can I fly from Spain to Hong Kong via Shanghai using a transit visa (48 hr stay in Shanghai) or does the country that I arrive from (or go to on the way back) need to be different than my home country?
Thanks

A and C can be anywhere as long as they are different.
