Taking the bullet train from Shenzhen North Railway Station to Chaoshan Railway Station. There are over 50 bullet trains running between and the duration is about 2 - 2.5 hours.

Upon arrival at Chaoshan Railway Station, there are many buses to different positions of ST at the exit of the square. You can choose Bus 181 to the downtown, with duration of about 50 minutes.
