Getting a Z visa after having spouse visa

Hi, I recently got a spouse S but I am trying to get a working Z in China. Is it possible to get a working Z 3 months after getting the spouse one?

That's possible. You can try to apply for the conversion at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.
