You can try to apply for a visit visa for the trip to Shanghai. First, prepare your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, residence permit in there, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Next, submit the application to Chinese embassy or consulate.0

If you can get an invitation letter from your business partner, you can apply for a business M type for that.0
