About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Shantou visit 2019

Will be doing KUL - SWA - SIN - KUL

KUL - SWA is via AirAsia
SWA - SIN is via JetStar on separate ticket
...is this allowed?...or must you use same airline?

SWA is not a port of entry for 72-hr TWOV. To travel to SWA under the 72-hour policy you must enter and depart from Guangzhou by air. Once entered Guangzhou you'll have free movement within the entire province.

Also you can elect to get a 10-year visa (valid up to the expiration of your passport) if you are Canadian. 72-hour TWOV also requires you to hold a passport from one of the listed 53 countries.
