About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

I will be flying into Haikou in Nov. Solely to visit relatives there.

do I still need to register with the local agent over there? If we don't have to, how do we go about in applying the 30 days free visa from Singapore?

You can try to find a travel agency whether they can help you apply for the 30-day visa without booking a tour. If they disagree but you have the Singapore passport, you can get the 15-day free visa in China.

Oh, I'm afraid you either book a tour for the 30 days free visa or apply for a Chinese visa in advance.
