About:Dual Nationality

My Chinese husband and our Son.

Someone asked a similar question with just some varying details, but I want to make sure I am getting this right.

I am married to a Chinese man with a green card and we have a 4 month old son. We are currently separated but working on things in hopes of getting back together.
Well next year I am doing a short term teaching trip in China and would like to bring my son with me, but I am worried. I trust my husband overall, but he is a MAJOR mommas boy (one of our problems) and does everything she says. She is pushing for us to send our son to China for school, and I said not until he is old enough to decide if he wants to. Well, she is still pushing it.
If I bring him with me, could they do something to prevent me from taking him back home with me after my time is done teaching? His parents and him are in the US, but his mom goes to China regularly and has relatives there. I am worried she will go there and try to keep him there. (She is crazy..)

Hi, don't worry too much, from Chinese legal perspective, she can't take the baby without your permission. However, you are suggested to communicate with your husband in advance and make sure she will not do anything crazy. Wish you all the best.
