Transit Visa Eligible?

Hi, I am intending to fly from UK - HK - SH - UK. But with my flight back to UK is via HK for the connection. Am I still eligible for the free transit or will it be deemed traveling back to HK? Thanks

China views this as Hong Kong > Shanghai > Hong Kong which requires a visa. They want to see that the airport before and after shanghai are not the same country. How long the stop is does not matter, take off and landing are what matters.
