About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Day trip to China from Hong Kong. Thanks

Hi there, I am travelling to Hong Kong with my partner and we are UK citizens. I want to visit my great-great grandfather's house in Guangzhou with my uncle (he is a HK citizen). If i go to visit for the day by train from Hing Kong, will I need to get a visa? Or do we qualify for the 25hour free transit? Any help much appreciated!
