My itinerary is SIN-PVG (with Singapore airline), stay 140 hours in Shanghai and then PVG-BKK-HKT (with Thai) , in 2 different tickets ( SQ – TG are both of them, Star Alliance members).

2 seperate tickets are no problem.You're fine with your itinerary for the 144h twov (it's not a transit visa!).

The Elliott guy is idiot. Emirates messed up big time. There is no silly interline or same ticket rule.
