About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can my partner and I enter China together with a spouse and work visa?

Basically does my wife have to be working and living in China first before I can apply for spouse visa ?

That's possible. You can try to ask your employer to send the invitation letter to your wife, and she can try to apply for the S type with your application together.
