Flight delays

If I have a 72 hour transit visa and my flight gets delayed and I am forced to stay past the 72 hours will this cause issues?

No. The time is calculated until the scheduled departure time so delays beyond your control will not be a problem to immigration (most of the time you are likely to have cleared outbound immigration anyway). Be sure not to miss your flight as that's something that will get you into trouble.
