Letter from the Ministry of Foreign affairs

Hi, I was told that I need an invitation letter from the ministry of foreign affairs inviting me. I would like to reconfirm this as I am applying for an S2 as my sister currently is working there.

Can anyone help?

Hi, as I know, you don't need an invitation letter from the ministry of foreign affairs for the application of S type. If you are worried, you can call the China embassy to confirm this.
