About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vancouver to shanghai, then to Vietnam, back to hong kong and canada

Hi there.

I am flying from Vancouver, Canada to Shanghai, where I will be staying for 2 days. I then fly from Shanghai to Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar, and then back to Hong Kong where I will be staying for 3 days. After that, I fly home to Canada.

If I understand correctly, I do not need a VISA for Shanghai (144-hour transit rule) nor Hong Kong (90day transit allowed for Canadian passport holders). Is that correct?
