About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

do i need visa before I travel?

I am Italian national, traveling from California, to Japan. I shave to stop at Shangai Pudong, where i need to make a transfer (4 hours).

Do I need to have a visa?
If so, can I take it directly at the airport?

You don't need a visa because you can get 24h twov after arriving at Shanghai. Nice trip.
