About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Asked by Maria van der Vliet, Netherlands

I will dock at January 31, 2019 with the ship "Westerdam" of the Holland America Line at the peninsula Sanya, China for half a day re the time from 10.00 till 18.00 o'clock.
I was told that for the peninsula Sanya is not a visa duty. Is this OK?
Are there any other documents or formalities I have to take care of in beforehand?

Hi, there is no 144h free transit in Sanya. But if your travel route would be country A-Sanya(within 24 hours)-country B, you can use the 24h twov in there, and no visa will be required, either.
