About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Visa need or not need to attend a one-week-long forum in Kunming for a Myanmar citizen

I'm a Uni student from Myanmar. I'm invited to attend a one-week forum to be held in Kunming in the middle of this month.

When I surfed into your website for application requirements, I found that under Mutual visa exemption agreements, Myanmar citizens with diplomatic service or official passport are exempted from Visa for a stay of 30days.
But, I'm not quite clear with your wording "official passport".( In my opinion, any passport issued by concerning authority of a country is official and my passport is an official one.) So, I'm confused that I need entry permit to attend this forum or not.
I'm leaving China a couple of days after the forum. So, my duration of stay will not be more than 10days.

Generally speaking, only the government officials can get official passports, so your passport is not an official one. You should apply for a visa for the trip to mainland China.
