About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Short visit to Guangzhou from Hong Kong

Hi, We are flying from Manchester in the U.K. To Hong Kong then hope to fly to Guangzhou for 2 nights, returning to Hong Kong before a return home to the UK. Would we qualify for the 72 hour visa waiver? Thanks

You need a visa for that. Hong Kong-China-Hong Kong isn't a transit, and therefore obviously won't qualify for transit without visa.

Thanks Rob. Am I correct to assume then if we were to travel back via Macau that would be eligible for the 72 hr twov?
