About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Which Visa Free to apply for

We are arriving by cruise ship in Shanghai February 22 and leaving for Beijing (Tianjin) on February 23rd where we will be for the 26th and 27th. Do we request a 48 hour visa free transit in each port, or a 144 day to cover both?

You need a full visa. You cannot travel between Beijing and Shanghai on a transit without visa. Good news is if you have Canadian passport you can apply for an advance visa that allows up to 10 years (or passport expiration whichever is less) for same price as normal visa.
