When does 72 hour transit visa start from in Chengdu -
Does a 72 hour transit visa issued in Chengdu airport start from the arrival time of the flight into Chengdu airport or is it calculated from 00:00 the following day of the entry date to the scheduled departure time? I can catch a flight arriving at 6.00am on 19 January 2019 from England and leaving at 8.05pm on Tuesday 22 January for Thailand. That would count as some 86 hours if calculated from the arrival time of the flight into Chengdu airport but would be under 72 hours (68 hours 5 minutes) if calculated from 00:00 the following day of the entry date to the scheduled departure time.
I'd like to see the city and the Giant Pandas breeding centre one day, Mount Quincheng another and the Leshan Budbha on the third day so the longer I can stay in Chengdu on the transit visa the better!
