About:Shanghai Pudong International Airport Maps

Can I go from Shanghai Pudong Airport T2 to T1 on the shuttle without checking in first?

I fly from T2 my partner flies T1 later.

Can she come with me to T2 and travel to T1 on the shuttle... or must she travel to T1 by taxi and check in first before having access to shuttle?
