About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Singapore to Beijing and Beijing to Orlando

Hi I am a Canadian traveler and will be in Beijing for 6 days, I will be flying from Singapore to Beijing via Kuala Lumpur and wish to stay there for 6 days and then fly from Beijing to Orlando and from Orland back to Toronto, Canada.

Will I qualify for the 114 hour twov exemption?

Please let me know, I will be travelling February next year 2019.

For TWOV purposes this is viewed as Kuala Lumpur > Beijing for China arrival. As long Beijing is the first china landing as the next landing after Beijing is not another Chinese city and is not Malaysia, this qualifies for the Transit Without Visa. Just need to depart within 144 hours, starting from 00:01 on the day following the day of entry.
