About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa for the following itinerary, with a port of call in Hong Kong(see details):

Itinerary:
Arrive in Shanghai Jan 2, 2019 and spend two nights in Shanghai before departing on the following cruise itinerary:
Jan 05: Shanghai
Jan 06: At Sea
Jan 07: Nagasaki
Jan 08: Busan
Jan 09: At Sea
Jan 10: At Sea
Jan 11: Hong Kong
Jan 12: At Sea
Jan 13: At Sea
Jan 14: Ho Chi Minh City
Jan 15: At Sea
Jan 16: Bangkok (Laem Chaban
Jan 17: Ko Samui

If you have a US passport you won't need a visa for Hong Kong. You also won't need a Chinese visa as long as your flight to Shanghai does not stop in Japan or mainland China.
