About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

22 hours in Beijing

I am travelling from Canada and will be in Beijing for 17 1/2 hours. You told me I could go to a hotel in Beijing if I was travelling from Country A to Beijing to Country B. Thank you. You also said I could apply for the 24 hour transit exception paper - where do I apply for that? Do I get it at the airport when we land in Beijing?

Look for the sign mentioning 24/144 hour. Should be opposite side of all the finger print kiosks. There is a blue form to fill out then they will stamp temporary stay permit. Once you have that head to passport control and enter China. Ignore the sign that only mention 24 hours as that is airside transit and if you go through that you are stuck in Airport
