About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Spouse of a Chinese citizen VISA

I am a 61 year old citizen of the USA. If I go to China to retire how can I extend my stay beyond the 4 months allowed? I currently have a multiple entry VISA

If you are a spouse of a Chinese citizen, you can try to extend it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB after entering China. Or you can try to apply for a family Q1 type and then get a Chinese residence permit after the entry.
