About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

I overstayed, will I be granted a visa again ?

I was a student at one of the universities in China. I couldn’t apply for my residence permit on time due to my fees not clearing on time so I overstayed by about 10 days. I paid a fine of ¥500 and was granted a humanitarian visa because I decided to leave the school. Now I have been accepted to another school in China and need to reapply for my X1 in South Africa. Will my previous overstay affect my application ?

It is at the discretion of the consular officer who handles your case, however your overstay will be reflected in their system.
