About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I fly to Hongkong from switzerland. My chinese friend wants to show me shenzhen for 1 or 2 days .

We will drive by car from hongkong to shenzhen. Do i need a visa or is 72hr TWOV ok We only stay 2 days thenback to hongkong

Shenzhen VOA is issued at specific ports of entry only. There's a list at the "visa on arrival" page.

The Shenzhen VOA is just expensive for US citizens.
For other nationalities it's way cheaper as a regular visa.

Shenzhen is not part of the free transit program (plus HK > China > HK is not a transit). You can apply for the Shenzhen VOA at the land border but its the same cost as the normal multi entry visa you can apply for in advance
