Sending visa application via post

Hi, my wife and I are planning to travel to china March 2019 so will be applying for visa's via post as we live in the Northern Territory...do we need to send with our documents our physical passports?..can we send certified copies of them or do you need the actual passports to complete the application? ..just worried the passports might get lost in transient that's all. Thanks.

Yes, you need to send with your documents your physical passports for the application. If you doubt that, you can contact the CAVSC to confirm that beforehand.
