About:Chinese Embassy in Nepal

Two transits; Kunming and Shanghai. Do I need a visa?

I will be flying from Kathmandu to Auckland all the way with the Chinese company China Eastern. I will have two transits; the first one will be in Kunming and the second one will be in Shanghai. I will be in China for a total of 26-27 hours. Is the free 72 hours free transit in Kunming valid for this? I'd like to hear from you, because it's very unclear for me at the moment. I need to know if I need to get a visa beforehand or not. My nationality is Dutch.

You are not eligible for the 72h twov because the 72 hour policy only allows the traveler to transit in one Chinese city. Try to apply for a visa for the trip beforehand.
