About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

48 hours between separate flights in Beijing

I am booking a flight from Los Angeles to Beijing and a flight from Beijing to Hong Kong separately, not as one connecting flight, although on the same airline. Am I still eligible for the visa free transit? The stay in Beijing is about 48 hours.

You are still eligible for the free transit in Beijing. You don't need to worry about the separate flights.
