About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

So... each time you enter Shanghai as long as you leave in 144 hours you are ok?

We are arriving April 21 at 7:15 PM and will be leaving April 26 in the afternoon on a cruise to Japan. We return from the cruise in Japan on May 4 and fly out at 3:25 PM to Hanoi. We return back to SH on May 14 at 2:15 PM and leave May 15 at 10:20 PM. Does this qualify for the 144 hours?

You are ok if your route is always Country A-SH-Country B. For example, Japan-SH-Japan does not qualify, but Vietnam-SH-Japan does. Also, you are not allowed any other stops in mainland China.
