About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa requirement for Shanghai and Beijing

1. I am arriving in Shanghai on a flight from the U.S. at 7 am on Oct. 25th and departing on a cruise ship with a next stop in Seoul at 5 pm on Oct 27th. Will I be able to use the 72 hour free transit.

2. I am arriving in Tainjin (Beijing) on a cruise ship from Seoul at 6 am on Oct. 31 and departing on the same ship from Tainjin (Beijing) at 6 pm on Nov. 2 for Cheju City, South Korea. Will I be able to use the 72 hour free transit.

2) No, visa required as it will be considered Korea > China > Korea which is not a transit.
