About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layover in Xiamen & Qingdao

Hello,
I am a South African citizen who will be flying from Osaka to Los Angeles with Xiamen Airlines next week. The flight has two long stop-overs: 12 hours in Xiamen and 8 hours in Qingdao.

The reports online are very conflicting- will I need to apply for a transit G?

You would qualify for 24 hours transit without visa if it is less than 24 hours between scheduled arrival time in Xiamen and scheduled departure time from Qingdao.
