About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check

i want to bring some powertools. will they be confiscated if they are in my checked luggage.

typhoon jebi is destroying japan, i have layover in shanghai this is why im asking

First, you should declare the powertools to the China Customs and accept the security check. If you can pass the check, you are able to take them with you. Remember to make sure these things are power-off condition. Under normal circumstances, it is not a problem. Good luck to you.
