About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

AMS direct HK | PEK | - AMS (via HK)

I would like to have the six days option for a short busingess trip to Peking. The best airline connection (Catway) also flies back via HK, I will be in transit there to AMS. Can I apply succesfully for the six days overstay or should I book another ticket? Which doesn't fly back to HK? I have a Dutch passport so no problems there.

Do you mean you will travel like AMS-HK-Beijing (6 days)-HK-AMS, right? If yes, you are not eligible for the free transit in Beijing because it's not a transit.

Ok, that's what I thought as well. The schedule I will now follow is. AMS [LHR] HKG –PEK – [LHR] AMS. So I'll fly from Amsterdam to Hong Kong with a stopover at London Hearthrow. Then from Hong Kong to Peking and then from Peking to Amsterdam, again with a stopover at London Heatrow. That way I will be eligible for the free transit visum, right?

Yes, just make sure no plane landing in Hong Kong on the way back to make it Hong Kong > Beijing > Not Hong Kong would be eligible for TWOV.
