About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting to Republic of China (Taiwan)

Hi
Is it possible to get a 72 hrs twov when you are transiting through to the Republic of China (Taiwan) travelling on a UK passport?

You can enjoy free entry to Taiwan, so you don't need a visa for the transiting in there.

Thanks for the reply, I meant to say can I get the 72 hrs twov to stay in Xiamen if I am traveling onto Taiwan.

If it's UK-Xiamen-Taiwan-Xiamen-UK, then you can apply for 72h twov twice in Xiamen. Nice trip.

It depends on your exact route. I don't think there is a non-stop UK-Xiamen flights. If your flight stops in another Chinese city, you won't qualify for 72 hours transit without visa.

Hi the flight would be through Amsterdam to Xaimen so I guess this would qualify, I was concerned about whether Taiwan would be considered part or China even though it is a different visa.

Taiwan is an international destination and is treated like HK or Macau or any foreign country by Chinese immigration, meaning that any person flying to or coming from Taiwan must pass immigration and customs. There's nothing wrong with your itinerary.
