About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

I own a valid, licensed business in China. What visa do I need?

I am presently working in China with the initial Z, but now have a residence permit. I now own my own consulting business here and was granted a business license solely in my name. What kind of visa do I need to get to stay here and conduct business? Thanks.

If so, you are advised to renew your work Z type and residence permit at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. If it can be done, you can operate your own business in China.

Thank you! Very helpful. As I looked at all of the visa types, I didn't find one that fit my particular situation. I have a Z type visa now, but, not with my own licensed company. I first procured a business license in Shanghai last year. I was scammed by being told it would be good for where I live in Henan. After I received it, I found out that a lady I know (I used to be her son's English teacher) was the head of the Business and Industry Administration for the province. She let me know that the license was no good here. She helped me procure a legal license here. I was, in fact, the first foreign individual who ever applied for one and got it (as opposed to large corporations). They happily granted it within days (and zero costs to me). The office made a big deal out of me being the first foreign individual they had granted such a license. Even had a small celebration and presentation of sorts. Media attended and it got on the news. Anyway, I was certainly happy to receive it.
