About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 days in Shanghai, with connection via Hong Kong

I want to go with a German passport to Shanghai with 72 hours twov. I will come from Germany and have to change planes in HongKong to Shanghai. After two days in Shanghai I will leave to Kuala Lumpur. Is the 72 hours twov possible with the plane change in HongKong (3 Hours time in HKG)?

Yes, as long as your SH-KL flight does not stop in HK.
