About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing International Airport, transfer from T2 to T3

Need a 24-hour Direct Transit Visa? Have just a 2'5 hour gap between the flights!

If you are flying Country A - Beijing - Country B then you don't need to apply for a visa because you can apply for 24h twov.

Many thanks for the response, Emma! Yes, this is my concern: I have to apply for a 24h TWOV just for the transfer from terminal 2 to terminal 3. Any idea how long the apply for 24h TWOV takes?

A 2.5-hour period is very tight. Inbound immigration will usually take 30 mins to an hour, T2 to T3 15 to 40 minutes, and outbound immigration and security at least 30 minutes. There may be a possibility that you won't catch your flight as gates for most international flights close at least 30 mins prior to departure unless there's a delay.
